Clubs and Associations

1. Tamil Mandram.

Tamil Mandram continues its service to develop the culture of Tamil. The Mandram regularly conducts events and encourages the students to learn Tamil culture and practices. The Mandram has always been an outlet to provide a stage for the students to exhibit their talents.

2. English Literary Associations

Facilitate the advancement and progress the English Language skill among youth.

Objectives :

  • To develop skills required to facilitate the advancement and progress of English literature and the language as a whole.
  • To bring about a generation of eloquent speakers with the confidence to speak in public
  • To display the interesting aspects those are available through the sphere of literature
3. NSS

Objectives :

  • To understand the community in which they work.
  • To understand themselves in relation to their community.
  • To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving.
  • To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
  • To utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
  • To develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.
  • Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.
  • Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.
  • Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and Practice national integration and social harmony.
4. Consumer Club.

Citizen Consumer Club of our college is established to spread awareness on consumer rights amongst all consumer segments and to help consumers get justice when affected. The main aim of the club is to spread awareness on consumer rights amongst all consumer segments to students and help them to emerge as the best Citizen of India.

Objectives :

  • To bring awareness and realization among students about their duties and responsibilities as Citizens of India.
  • To educate students about rights of the consumers as provided in consumer protection Act, 1986.
5. Siruthuli

"Helping hands are better than Praying Lips." by Mother Teresa is a proverb which elucidates helping a person in dire need rather than praying for him. If a man wants to worship god they can do better by serving by serving the poor and the needy. Siruthuli helps needy and poor people.

6. Entrepreneurship Development.

The capacity and willingness to develop, organize and to manage a business venture along with any of its risk in order to make a profit. Entrepreneur spirit is characterized by innovation and risk taking and is essential part of Nation’s ability to succeed in an ever changing and increasingly competitive Global market place. The cell focuses with the objective to march forward in the competitive world as a successful business man and it teaches for the student’s outer exposure to survive in the business world.

Objectives :

  • To develop spirit of Entrepreneurship among the students.
  • To create environment for self-employment opportunities.
  • To encourage students to become entrepreneurs through formal and non-formal programmes.
7. JCI

Junior Chamber International is a non-profit International Organization for young people. It encourages young people to become active citizens and to participate in efforts taken towards social and economic development, good will and understanding of society and its ethics in a broader sense.

Objectives :

  • To provide development opportunities that empowers young people to create positive change.
  • To be the leading global network young active citizen.
8. Rotary Club.

Build up Professional and Leadership Skills to emphasize ethical standards and vocational responsibilities.

9. Feminine Federation

The most meaningful and longest social movement still continuing in the present day is the emancipation of women. Though the main purpose for women empowerment is to enhance the quality of life for women, it is also have deep ramifications in social, economic and political scenario. In a country like India we see that women have been relegated to a secondary position. The vested interest of the elite class has played an important part in pushing them to oblivion. Women’s upliftment is the main objective of the Feminine Federation club and intend to safe guard women from the social discrimination.

Objectives :

  • To promote creativity, self-reliance and confidence among women students & faculty.
  • To empower women in all aspects of life.
10. Fine Arts

Fine Arts club is a group dedicated to promote various forms of arts. The fine arts club is to encourage students to express their thoughts, feelings and creativity through various visual art forms. The club activities enhance the student’s individual talents who would in turn bring laurels to the institution by constant motivation and encouragement.

11. YRC

YRC of the college sustains with the mission "Educate and empower children and youth in the spirit of the Red Cross through constructive trainings and effective leadership and provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their energies and idealism into worthwhile humanitarian activities."

12. Go Green.

Our College go green club function with a motto “March towards Green” the vision of the club is committed to transforming into a green youth organization.

  • To raise awareness among students so that they understand environmental issues.
  • To instill a sense of responsibility for the environment and a personal commitment to protect and preserve the environment.
  • To educate and cultivate an appreciation and interest in the environment.
  • Take an Environmentally Informative Field Trip To change all rocky mountains of Salem to Greenish mountains.
